It's just a hotel-building, but the evening receptionist was very friendly and nice. Then up to the room, 2 adults with a small carry-on case and a backpack hardly fit in the "elevator".

Well, no big deal so far. More important is the room, it was just a normal hotel room, maybe a bit small. But nothing shocking here.

The bed O dear the bed. They good make a horror movie of it. Omg so hard. And the pillows were more like handkerchiefs with covers.

Previous mentioned, the bathroom and toilet weren't really rooms. More like airplane cabinets. You don't need a lot of space here, but they felt like a camper-van.

All plastic, no lock, no mirror. We didn't use the shower, I didn't bring any slippers. Not helping were the other guests, I think this adjusts to the type of hotel.

Screaming, talking, running and bouncing on doors in the middle of the night. I've been in much cheaper hotels which were MUCH better.

This lady was one of the friendliest I've ever met in a hotel. She deserves a ton of credit here! Date of stay: December Value.

We had decided to say here we had been traveling for over 14,hours so warn out first of all we struggled to get in the car park as the barrier was not working properly so had to go to the resection and ask the Hotel resepsoinist was not a very welcoming it was she was not at all interested in use at all she never smiled once we got our key cards for the rooms which did not work so had to go back down stairs for them to be redone when we finally got in to our room it was clean very very small it is the smallest room we have ever stayed in with wood chip paper on the walls there where no tea or coffee and no kettle so I went down again and asked if we could have a kettle her reply was they did not have any so if you are like us want to make a cup of tea find some where else we would not recommend this hotel ….

I come often to the North of Essen and usually use Airbnb, but all my usual places were not available, so I decided to stay at the Ibis Budget Nord.

Never again. Towels and bet covers also with strange smell. After reading the reviews, I was prepared for a hard bed, thin walls, and possible smoke smell in my room.

Well, the bed was a bit firm, but it was quiet and no smoke smell at all! I was very satisfied with this room for 5 nights.

Breakfast was good for this low carb dieter too. This is a no frills hotel, but the price makes it worth it. Clean Room.

Good budget hotel. Rooms were clean, adequate facilities and staff were very friendly and helpful. LAck of requested pillows, thank God , I have had my car inflated one.
