The movie's central lesson--"The secret is that there is no secret"--is spot-on as well. It's good for children to realize that there's no shortcut to getting what they want, but that hard work, belief in one's self, and using one's strengths even if they are humor, cooking, and the ability to jump ten feet in the air for cookies are how to find happiness in life.

When my friend was too ill to watch the entire movie in one setting, I paused it, thinking we'd go back and finish it later.

Two days later, the only way for me to finish the movie was to rent it again. So I'm giving it five stars for the movie, not Amazon's streaming service.

My kids love this movie! Being able to watch it on the app in the car or train or wherever we are makes it even better.
