Avoiding spoilers. Acting and production values were quite good. If you've ever seen a standard Monster of the Week episode of Supernatural, you're probably familiar with the two minute long introductions when they show, for example, somebody putting groceries away in the fridge before the husband comes home with a possessed look in his eye and stabs the wife to death - cue intro slide.

This whole movie felt like it was establishing the background for that two minute long introduction scene. The scares were entirely based on predictable jumpscares, nothing revolutionary or shocking here.

I think the writers had a quota - insert two baby cries for every one line of dialogue, because "baby crying sound effect" occupies a significant portion of the movie's audio track.

Overall really underwhelming, like the horror movie version of modern pop-country music. Might be fun if you're a teenage girl having a slumber party and are looking for cheap scares.
